Updating file author attribute with vb
Document properties, also known as metadata, are details about a file that describe or identify it.Document properties include details such as title, author name, subject, and keywords that identify the document's topic or contents.:-) To solve the problem of updating a particular attribute in a drawing, I started by copying a bunch of code from this post, as it handled the recursive iteration of blocks.
This block contained three attributes, imaginatively named "ONE", "TWO" and "THREE".This data is displayed with the DWGPROPS command or when viewing the properties of a DWG file with Windows Explorer.Drawing Property data can be updated, listed or removed from the current drawing or a folder of drawings.PROPULATE can also insert into the Comments field a list of the xrefs, images and fonts used by each drawing.Command: PROPULATE Default template file: g:\acad2000\express\Enter an option [Active template/Edit template/List/Remove/Update] For example, entering g:\project\PG*will search all drawings whose names start with PG beginning with the g:\project folder and optionally its subfolders Editing the Propulate Template Propulate uses a template file to determine what values should be inserted into the Drawing Property fields of a drawing.
